There is no single perfect trout forecast. The useful question is how several conditions combine and what they suggest you should try first.
Wind
A moderate breeze can break up harsh light, create surface movement and move food. Very strong wind can make casting and safe access more difficult. On stillwaters, investigate areas where the wind is moving food, while considering safe bank access.
Cloud and light
Overcast conditions often reduce harsh light and can make fish more comfortable feeding away from deep cover. Bright, warm midday conditions may favour deeper water, shade or the lower-light edges of the day.
Pressure
Anglers often watch pressure changes rather than one absolute value. TroutSpy treats pressure as one signal among several rather than a standalone predictor.
Temperature
Water temperature is more directly relevant to trout than air temperature, especially during warm weather. TroutSpy now shows a clearly labelled estimated surface-water range using a slow-moving seasonal/air-temperature model when no measured lake-temperature feed is available. Treat that value as context, not a sensor reading. Where water is warm, deeper, cooler or better-oxygenated areas can become more important.
